Course description:

The worst thing about our compulsive tendencies is that they convince us we can’t change. On this uplifting course we will learn how to gain confidence in our natural capacity for transformation and how to harness it to break bad habits, gradually creating ones that serve us instead.

​Guided by experienced meditation teachers, our courses include guided meditations, teaching, Q&A and the opportunity for relaxed and informal conversation in the comfortable and friendly surrounds of our dedicated meditation space and cafe. Hundreds of people just like you come to our classes and courses every month to enjoy the peaceful, supportive atmosphere and practical guidance that makes a real difference to every day life.

Course structure:

10am - first session / 11:15am - refreshments / 11:45am - second session / 1pm - lunch

The Teacher For This Course: 

Kelsang Khechog

The principal teacher at Jangchub Ling is Gen Kelsang Khechog. Khechog was ordained in 2006 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. After studying for a number of years on the Teacher Training Programme at the internationally renowned Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre near Derby, Khechog was appointed as the Resident Teacher of JLC in September 2009. Known for his considerate and thoughtful nature, Khechog presents Buddha’s teachings with clarity, showing how to connect these beautiful methods with the realities of modern daily life.

Facility fee:

​£12 (£7 unwaged) for the whole course, or £6 (£3.50 unwaged) per session. Under 16s free.

Lunch:

We serve a complimentary light lunch after the course. Spaces for this are limited and all these have now been reserved for this course. We can accomodate more people in the meditation room so there are still places available for the course itself.

Booking for monthly subscribers:

If you have a monthly subscription which includes weekend courses then you just need to let us know you're attending by emailing us (click here to send us an email). When you email please state whether you are staying for lunch. Please be aware that courses to get fully booked, so please book as early to avoid disappointment!
