Jangchub Ling Buddhist Centre is a place where everyone is welcome to come and learn meditation, regardless of experience, background or beliefs.
We are a registered charity dedicated to helping people find practical tools that improve and transform daily life through meditation.
Who runs Jangchub Ling Centre?
We are run entirely by volunteers who are part of our community, no one at JLC gets paid for their work here. All our teachers are students themselves, dedicated to their own practice and studying under senior teachers in a tradition going back to the time of Buddha Shakyamuni himself. All fees are to help us continue our work of helping others.
Which Buddhist tradition do we belong to?
Jangchub Ling is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union, a Modern Buddhist tradition with no political affiliations that follows the pure Mahayana Buddhist teachings of Atisha (AD 982 - 1054) and Je Tsongkhapa (AD 1357 - 1419), as presented for contemporary society by modern-day Buddhist master, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
